How it works
You notice or experience a little something worth putting into words.
Fill in the card.
Give it to the person.
Give them a blank one, if you have it, to spread the practice.
A few tips
A few things worth knowing
By the time you finish writing the note, the person may be gone. If so, just treasure the moment. Maybe you will run into them again. Or if it is someone you know, you can put it in the mail.
You can fill it out not always knowing the person's name. Instead you could write — Dear neighbor, Dear person next to me in line, Dear bus driver, Dear gardener, Dear kind person, Dear nurse, Dear dog owner, Dear fellow coffee drinker...
No need to give too much detail. These are quick moments that you are capturing.
The purpose of kindofanote
A tangible way to build a practice of noticing and treasuring people, even in the smallest of moments — and encouraging others to try it. Turning towards each other.
The space is limited for easy use, capturing a quick take-away or sketch — anything kind goes.
These notes can be for anyone or anything at all. May joy and connection multiply.
